About Our Managing Principal

E. W. (Sandy) Sanders III, CPA AIFA, QKA

A native of Walterboro, South Carolina, Sandy has over 25 years of public accounting, retirement plan administration, investment and consulting experience.  After a 5 year stint in public accounting as a CPA for a regional Charleston firm, he developed his unique retirement plan background beginning on the ground level for a regional retirement plan administration company in the mid nineties. He served in various capacities over a period of 15 years culminating in a stockholder and then President, for over half of those years. He grew the firm to almost 1 Billion in Assets. The firm was eventually sold to a financial institution.

Once again independent of the typical investment quotas and selling pressures of financial institutions, Sandy provides boutique retirement plan and investment consulting. He works with plan sponsors providing technical assistance, direction, and consulting on qualified plan design, fiduciary, compliance and investment issues.
Sandy also provides individual investment assistance to participants within the plans that he advises and as an active CPA, Sandy previously served several years as the President of the South Carolina Association of CPA’s Coastal Chapter.

Additionally, he also is one of only 5 in South Carolina and 400 nationwide who hold the prestigious Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst Designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies in addition to the Qualified 401(k) Administrator Designation from the American Society of Pension Professional and Actuaries.
